The baseline snapshot is your reference image. It is the version of your page that future captures are compared with.
How it works
When InfraBeacon captures a new image, it compares it with your baseline. If the difference is above your tolerance setting, InfraBeacon alerts you.
Setting your baseline
- After verification, wait for your first capture to complete.
- Review the captured image to make sure it looks right.
- Select Set as baseline on the snapshot you want to use.
Updating your baseline
When you make planned changes to your page, such as a redesign or content update, you should update your baseline:
- Wait for a new capture that shows your updated page.
- Review it to confirm the changes are correct.
- Set the new snapshot as your baseline.
You can choose any recent snapshot as the baseline. It does not have to be the newest one.
